Staying Away From Social Media Apps Helped, Say Toppers | Lucknow News – Times of India


LUCKNOW: Hard work, consistency and abstinence from social media were the success mantras of the toppers of CBSE Class 10 and 12 examinations, the results of which were announced on Friday.
This time, the examinations were held in two parts, objective and subjective, in view of Covid-19 pandemic.
Pinju Sanjay, a student of Study Hall, Gomtinagar, scored 99.2% in Class 12. “The first term examination (objective) helped in deep understanding of the topics while the second (subjective) developed analytic skills,” said Sanjay, who wants to pursue history honours from Delhi University because of his deep interest in archeology.
Similarly, Ashika Yadav of Lucknow Public Collegiate, Shardanagar, who scored 99% in Class 12, has already cleared the All India Law Entrance Test and got admission to National Law University, Delhi. “Instead of using social media, I utilized my time in reading NCERT books and solve sample papers,” she said.
Anjaneya Raj Garg of Study Hall, who scored 98.8% in Class 12, loves to experiment with new things and found the two-term system of examination challenging. “I want to get into an IIT and become a computer engineer,” he said.
Maitreyi Gupta of Delhi Public School, Jankipuram, also scored 98.8% in Class 12. “My mother, who is a company secretary, and my teachers guided me. I want to join the Indian Economics Services,” she said. Bhavya Srivastav of Lucknow Public School, LDA Colony, who scored 99.4% in Class 10, said time management helped her secure high score. Tanisha Mishra of GD Goenka School, Sushant Golf City, scored 99.4% marks in Class 12. “Since the syllabus was divided into two terms, I was able to create a better understanding of subjects,” she said.
Aaryan Singh of GD Goenka School, who scored 99.2% in Class 10, said: “Instead of using social media, I spent time on extra-curricular activities like swimming, sports and leisure reading which helped me focus better on studies.”
