With the third week of Season of Defiance almost over, it’s time to head into a Destiny 2 weekend with a quick visit to everyone’s favorite arms dealer Xur. While Lightfall has brought a number of changes to Destiny 2 since it went live, Xur’s role as a merchant has remained unchanged and he still sells a selection of Exotic and Legendary-class gear that you can purchase. Whether you’re looking to complete your collection or obtain weapons and armor with better stats compared to what you currently have for a weekend of Trials of Osiris, Xur has plenty to offer. Here’s where you can find Xur this weekend and what the Agent of the Nine has for sale.
This week you can find Xur in the EDZ, in the Winding Cove area. For his weapon, Xur is offering Lord of Wolves. Hunters can pick up Lucky Raspberry chest armor; Titans can grab the Crest of Alpha Lupi chest armor; and for Warlocks, Xur has Geomag Stabilizers leg armor.
Spawn in at the Winding Cove transmat zone, then hop on your sparrow and go north. Take the collapsed overpass on the left and look for a cave near the bend in the road. Follow the tunnel through the cliff face to reach a higher ridge where a Fallen dropship has crashed; you’ll find Xur waiting there.

Xur is present every weekend in Destiny 2, starting with the daily reset at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET each Friday. His exact location is always a mystery when he first arrives, as he is not listed on the map, and for novice players, he can be easy to miss. However, there are a set number of locations where he takes up residence, including the Tower Hangar area, on Nessus in Watcher’s Grave, and in the Winding Cove area of the EDZ.
Lord of Wolves
This Solar shotgun has popped up several times before in Xur’s inventory, and in case you haven’t acquired it yet, it’s still a beast of a weapon to have equipped. Its Shrapnel Launcher perk allows it to fire a powerful short-range burst of Solar damage, while its secondary perk Release the Wolves greatly increases its rate of fire and shoots in full-auto mode. If you ever wanted a shotgun that behaves like an auto rifle, this is the weapon for you.
- Chambered Compensator
- Extended Mag
- Shrapnel Launcher
- Release the Wolves
- Composite Stock
Dead Man’s Tale
Dead Man’s Tale has a good roll this week, as Flared Magwell–fast reloading and improved stability–pairs well with the unique perk Outlaw–precision kills greatly decrease reload time–to form a deadly duo. Throw in Composite Stock and Corkscrew Rifling, and this is a very good DMT build to grab.
- Corkscrew Rifling
- Flared Magwell
- Composite Stock
Hawkmoon has featured several similar rolls in recent weeks, and this weekend is no different. Alloy Magazine and Heavy Grip make a return here, while the unique perk this week is Rangefinder. That increases effective range and zoom magnification while aiming, which can come in handy, but this isn’t a must-have version of the Exotic hand cannon to grab right now.

- Alloy Magazine
- Heavy Grip

Probability Matrix is the signature perk of Lucky Raspberry, which works very well for any Hunter looking to spam their grenade ability while they’re running an Arc build. This perk increases the chaining capabilities of Arc Bolt grenades and has a chance to recharge it each time it deals damage, while a full chain always recharges. This Exotic has some superb stats attached to it, with mobility, recovery, and discipline all being highlights on this roll.
- Mobility: 14
- Resilience: 8
- Recovery: 13
- Discipline: 21
- Intellect: 10
- Strength: 2
- Total: 68
Crest of Alpha Lupi
Titans looking to increase their survivability odds will want this chest armor, as it can generate an additional Orb of Power from Supers and it activates a healing pulse when Barricade is used. The new build-crafting system does make it very easy to generate orbs, but there’s no harm in doubling down on this with the Exotic. If you spec your Titan to quickly regenerate class ability energy, this can serve a similar role to the Loreley Splendor Helm in keeping you alive, even if you’ll need to be more proactive when using it. As for stats, this Exotic has a moderate roll across most categories, with the highest numbers being reserved for resilience and intellect.
- Mobility: 3
- Resilience: 17
- Recovery: 11
- Discipline: 2
- Intellect: 21
- Strength: 10
- Total: 64
Chaos Reach is still a great Super to build your Warlock around, and Geomag Stabilizer can make this ability even more deadly. Once you activate the Arc laser of death, Geomag Stabilizer will extend its duration once it begins damaging targets. On a technical level, a full blast on target can double how long Chaos Reach is active for. This Exotic also has great total stat roll this week, even if Mobility isn’t what you’d associate with a Warlock. Mobility gets the highest bump, followed by strength, discipline, and resilience.
- Mobility: 22
- Resilience: 8
- Recovery: 4
- Discipline: 10
- Intellect: 6
- Strength: 17
- Total: 67
