Harris Ace Hardware sponsors veterans museum


Jimmy Harris and Rhonda Whitmire of Harris Ace Hardware were presented a certificate of appreciation from The Veterans History Museum of the Carolinas by board member Michel Robertson and Korean War veteran J.D. Bolt as a thank you for their support. These community business sponsorships have enabled the “Speaker Program” to bring in nationally known historians like James Scott, author of “Target Tokyo,” and Sean McMeekin, author of “Stalin’s War,” according to a press release.

Ace Hardware stocks all manner of home needs, including nuts, bolts, gardening, birdseed, outdoor grills and patio tables and chairs. It is located at 87 W. Main St, one block west of the Veterans History Museum.

Museum visitors are invited to step back in time to see the WWII Europe Army Post Office (APO) exhibit, with a 1943 Willys Jeep and 1942 Harley Davidson motorcycle. Museum admission is free it is located at 21 E. Main St. in Brevard.
