Trending news: Whatsapp is consuming data? Save your internet plan with the help of these steps – Hindustan News Hub

New Delhi. The world’s most popular messaging platform WhatsApp is used by millions of people everyday for communication, but it also has a negative side. Actually use WhatsApp or not, but like any other application, it consumes a lot of internet data.

Due to this problem, people’s internet data often gets damaged. This can be very troublesome especially for those who are not using Wi-Fi and depend on limited internet data in everyday life. According to a report by UK-based MediaRun Search, real-time messages, information updates and applications running in the background consume a lot of internet data.

Users have also been advised in this report that they should set up alerts about the activities using the data package. This includes activities such as limiting media updates, broadcast and search browse. However, some apps can be prevented from using data while they are actively running in the background. Android and iPhone users can also stop WhatsApp from connecting to the Internet and save their mobile data by turning off a specific feature.

How to disable this feature

Step 1: Activate the Settings tab.

Step 2: Along with selecting the data usage option, users will be able to see the list that is using data in the background.

Step 3: Select WhatsApp from this list and then Continue.

Step 4: Toggle off the background data usage option to turn off this function.

Apart from this, another option can also be used. First go to Settings. Then select the Cellular Data option and move the slider. Select the WhatsApp option to turn off this function.

According to reports, a new feature can be seen in WhatsApp. According to this feature, users will also be able to restore deleted messages. When users delete a message from a WhatsApp chat, a popup will appear at the bottom of the screen. This pop-up will have ‘Message Delete’ written and along with it there will also be an ‘Undo’ button. This popup will be present for a few seconds and then disappear. If the user selects the Undo option during this time, then the deleted message will be recovered again.

However if the popup disappears then there will be no way to undelete the deleted message. Due to this feature, users can save important messages from being deleted. If users want to check that they have access to this feature, they can do so on the Google beta program on Android version 2.22.18.13. However, when it will be included in the final version of WhatsApp, its information has not been revealed.
