The Xiaomi 13 Ultra and Pad 6 may be pegged as a smartphone and a tablet respectively, but they have at least 1 thing in common: a good chance of global availability, possibly from May 2023. Before that, however, they are slated to debut in China. Now, a new leak might be the best indication that this event is indeed on the way soon.
It comes in the form of a new registration secured from 3C by Xiaomi for 2 new devices with the model numbers 23046RP50C and 2304FPN6DC, thought to be the Pad 6 and 13 Ultra respectively. Should that be the case, the certifications reveal they are compatible with 2 different power bricks.
Accordingly, the 13 Ultra is linked to the MDY-14-EC, a new accessory that charges at up to 90 watts (W), whereas the tablet may be able to use the MDY-12-EF, a 67W brick also associated with the 12S Ultra.
Therefore, the new leak hints that, while the 13 Ultra might have gotten an update compared to its predecessor, it may fall short of the theoretically subordinate 13 Pro. The Pad 6, on the other hand, has allegedly made progress compared to its forebear.
I became a professional writer and editor shortly after graduation. My degrees are in biomedical sciences; however, they led to some experience in the biotech area, which convinced me of its potential to revolutionize our health, environment and lives in general. This developed into an all-consuming interest in more aspects of tech over time: I can never write enough on the latest electronics, gadgets and innovations. My other interests include imaging, astronomy, and streaming all the things. Oh, and coffee.
